Dina has held the prestigious position of Senior Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Investment Officer at Trinity Health since November 2014. Nationally recognized for quality care, the Trinity Health system includes 101 hospitals in 27 states. Dina’s role is critical in overseeing the organization’s financial well-being and, as Chief Investment Officer, providing stewardship over nearly $30 billion in assets. In addition to providing strong investment returns and building out a private equity portfolio, she has a passion for mission-aligned investing and has spoken at industry conferences on these topics. Her leadership and financial acumen have been instrumental in ensuring the health system’s financial stability and growth.
In January 2023, Dina Richard assumed the role of Board Member for the Detroit Institute of Arts, where she has been the Chair of the Investment Committee since 2013. Her appointment reflects her strong presence in the field of investments and governance, as she leads the Investment Committee in guiding the institution’s financial decisions.
Dina has been an active member of the Investment Board for the State of Michigan Retirement System since January 2018, appointed to terms by both Governor Whitmer and Governor Snyder. Her contributions to this board have been significant, as she participates in shaping the state’s retirement system’s investment strategies.
Since January 2017, Dina has served as a Board Member for Mercy Care and St. Joseph Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. Her board membership showcases her commitment to the healthcare sector and her dedication to the mission of these organizations in serving the underprivileged and homeless populations in the community.
In March 2022, Dina added another impressive role to her portfolio by joining the Investment Committee for the Retirement System, City of Detroit, specifically for Police and Fire. Her expertise is an asset in guiding the investment decisions for the city’s public servants.
Dina served as Vice President of Investments at Taubman Ventures Management for nine years, from July 2005 to November 2014. Her contributions in this role played a key part in the Family Office’s success and financial strategies. For more than 13 years, she assumed various leadership positions in finance at DTE Energy. Playing a crucial role in overseeing the company’s investments, managing investor relations, and handling mergers and acquisitions. She began her career with Deloitte and is a Certified Public Accountant.
