Senior Wealth Manager

Solid talent is hard to find, and as we continue to grow, it is more important than ever to add bright and dynamic people to our firm. We are searching for a Sr. Wealth Manager (SWM).

The SWM works directly with high net worth clients to identify investment objectives and the available products and services necessary to help achieve the client’s overall wealth plan. The SWM will nurture client relationships by providing the highest level of service and attention. Through this process you will be expected to obtain client referrals and leveraging CIG’s centers of influence, as well as identifying new relationships and effectively gaining new clients.

Overall Responsibilities
Client Experience

  • Responsible for delivering customized wealth plans, which include proactive, high impact, planning solutions
  • Provides professional consulting/advisory services and solutions to clients through the development, delivery and implementation of advanced planning techniques: (estate, tax, insurance, option, investment, retirement)

Client Deliverables

  • Identifies issues and planning opportunities for review and discussion with the client
  • Conducts research related to the use of various complex tax and estate planning strategies under consideration by clients and develops financial modeling and flowcharts to demonstrate the economic impact of the strategies
  • Delivers a sophisticated wealth plan to clients and their advisors in a clear and concise manner and respond appropriately to their questions

Sales and Marketing

  • Play a major role in the sales process in acquiring significant relationships
  • Develops proactive, reciprocal calling and referral relationships with Wealth Management Team and Marketing to create strategies and opportunities for high net-worth client base
  • Develops and expands relationships with centers of influence, such as attorneys and CPAs, resulting in additional business opportunities
  • Must be able to obtain new clients

Training and Mentoring

  • Coaches and counsels junior level Wealth Management Team members via formal training or as part of client relationship reviews
  • Assists with development and presentation of training programs

Requirements
Education: Four-year degree in Finance, Business, Economics or relevant field. MBA or currently enrolled in program is preferred. Industry credentials such as CFA or CFP also preferred, but not required

Licensing: Current Series 7 and Series 66 (Series 63 and Series 65). State insurance licensing preferred

Experience: 5+ years in wealth planning and sales within financial services

Skills

  • Maintains knowledge of complex, advanced planning techniques and relevant legislative, regulatory and case law changes
  • Attends community and/or industry-specific forums, conferences and/or meetings in order to broaden relations, network and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, products and competitors
  • Participates actively in community affairs and professional associations
  • Displays the ability to be highly effective in a team-oriented environment and to build key relationships
  • Supports a proven track record of successfully collaborating with and influencing management and peers to support growth and financial results
  • Participates in the ongoing development of the wealth planning process

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Maintain strong analytical, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • CRM experience a plus
